MANTIQIA: Journal of Islamic Philosophy

MANTIQIA: Journal of Islamic Philosophy is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all scholarly content published by the journal. To maintain academic integrity and guarantee continuous access to scholarly knowledge, MANTIQIA implements a digital archiving and preservation policy in accordance with international standards of scholarly publishing.

Digital Preservation System

All articles published in MANTIQIA are archived electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and securely stored on the journal’s server infrastructure managed by the publisher. The journal conducts regular maintenance and backup procedures to prevent data loss and ensure the sustainability of digital content.

To support permanent preservation and accessibility, MANTIQIA applies the following archiving mechanisms:

Local and Cloud Backup

All journal files, including manuscripts, metadata, reviewer reports, editorial records, and published articles, are regularly backed up on secure local storage and cloud-based systems managed by the publisher.

Repository and Indexing Archiving

Published articles may also be preserved through institutional repositories, indexing databases, digital libraries, and academic archiving services to increase discoverability, dissemination, and long-term accessibility of scholarly content in Islamic philosophy, philosophy of religion, Islamic intellectual traditions, ethics, theology, Islamic civilization studies, and related disciplines.

PKP Preservation Network and Archiving Services

Where available, the journal may participate in preservation initiatives such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, institutional repositories, and other recognized digital preservation services to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility of published content.

Accessibility of Archived Content

All archived content remains openly accessible in accordance with the journal’s Open Access Policy. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and cite all published articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.

Metadata and DOI Preservation

MANTIQIA maintains complete metadata records and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration to ensure persistent identification, citation tracking, discoverability, interoperability, and long-term accessibility of published articles.

Metadata associated with published articles are preserved and maintained to support integration with indexing services, repositories, and scholarly databases worldwide.

Website Sustainability

In the event that publication of the journal is discontinued or the journal website becomes inaccessible, all archived content will remain available through preservation systems, backup storage, institutional repositories, and partner archiving services to ensure the continuity of scholarly access and preservation of the academic record.

Policy Review and Updates

This Archive Policy may be reviewed and updated periodically in accordance with developments in digital preservation technology, international publishing standards, and best practices in scholarly communication.

Any updates to this policy will be published on the journal website and applied transparently to ensure the continued preservation, accessibility, and availability of published content.
