Copyright and License

Authors who publish with HISTOREA: Journal of History Education Academia agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The published work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which permits others to copy, distribute, share, adapt, and redistribute the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s), a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license.
  2. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work, such as depositing it in an institutional repository, disciplinary repository, digital archive, or republishing it in a book, edited volume, or other scholarly publication, provided that the original publication in HISTOREA: Journal of History Education Academia is properly acknowledged.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their work online, including through institutional repositories, academic social networking platforms, personal websites, and other scholarly communication channels, both before and during the submission process, as this may facilitate academic exchange, increase visibility, promote wider dissemination of knowledge, and potentially enhance citation impact.
  4. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript does not infringe upon any copyright, intellectual property rights, or third-party rights. Any copyrighted materials, including photographs, historical documents, archival materials, maps, illustrations, tables, figures, and images included in the manuscript, must be used with appropriate permission and acknowledgment.
  5. By submitting a manuscript to HISTOREA: Journal of History Education Academia, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication by another journal or publisher.
  6. Authors further confirm that all sources, archival records, historical documents, oral history materials, and other research materials used in the manuscript have been properly cited and acknowledged in accordance with accepted academic standards and ethical research practices.
  7. The views and opinions expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board, reviewers, publisher, or affiliated institutions of HISTOREA: Journal of History Education Academia.
